Looks like I need to get in here and fix a ton of broken links, it’s making my site look horrible and I’m also going to be going through all my family and partner sites and my elites and affiliates and removing broken links, sites that are no longer, or anyone who no longer has me linked back. I also have a couple new photo’s of Punk to add to the gallery and possibly a new look. I’ll try and do all that soon.

UFC

Somebody check hell for that annoying Disney princess, because it may have finally Frozen over. After 14 months away, WWE’s prodigal son CM Punk is finally making his return to the pro wrestling world – but that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

It started with a teaser from the self-proclaimed “Second City Saint” early Wednesday morning:

As wrestling fans and eager Chicagoans may know, 4.26 is the date of the upcoming WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view, emanating live from — you guessed it — the Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL.

Before the interwebs even had the time to speculate, UFC Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey dropped a bombshell of her own:

Rousey, who boasts an undefeated 11-0 record in MMA and is one of the UFC’s top draws, shocked the world by jumping the barricade this past Sunday at WrestleMania 31. With 70,000+ on their feet, she took to the ring with “Dwayne” The Rock “Johnson” to layeth the verbal (and physical) smackdown on Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, The Authority.

While it was originally unclear what Rousey planned to do at the upcoming event, UFC President Dana White confirmed with ESPN.com that the 28-year-old star has agreed to a deal for a one-time-only match at WWE Extreme Rules.

“Ronda called me up and told me, ‘Dana I’ve got this offer to do WrestleMania. They want me in the ring with The Rock.’ Of course I gave her my blessing – she’s a huge fan, and I’ve got nothing but respect for Vince McMahon as a businessman.”

“Then she calls me back the next day and says, ‘Dana everyone loved it. It did so well they want me to have a match at their PPV in Chicago.’ It’s at this point I had to take a step back and think about it. It’s obviously great promotion for everyone involved. On the other, is this promotion that we necessarily want as a legitimate fighting organization?”

“At the end of the day I gave my blessing because Ronda is Ronda. But I have to get something out of this as well, and Ronda’s next fight isn’t until August if we can get the dates ironed out. So I called Vince I said ‘I’ll give you Ronda, but you have to let Punk go down there with her. Play it up as a story – whatever – but I need to start generating some buzz around this guy’s first fight.’ So that’s what we’re doing. WWE gets Rousey and Punk for one night, and we get to sell wrestling fans on coming over and checking out what we do.”

UFC

LAS VEGAS — The UFC has signed former WWE professional wrestler CM Punk to fight in the Octagon.

The promotion announced the signing during its UFC 181 pay-per-view broadcast Saturday night. CM Punk, birth name Phil Brooks, never has fought professional mixed martial arts.

“This is my new career, 100-percent,” CM Punk said in a statement. “I’m going to go full steam ahead, all systems go after today, and it’s going to be fun.”

UFC president Dana White said CM Punk intends to fight at middleweight (185 pounds), but said he’d be open to 170 pounds.

The UFC took to Twitter to announce that CM Punk is expected to make his Octagon debut in 2015.

Welcome to the UFC @CMPunk! See you in 2015!

— #UFC181 (@ufc) December 7, 2014

“He wanted to fight here,” White told ESPN.com. “He wanted to give it a shot, so we gave him an opportunity. It’s not like Brock Lesnar. We’re not going to throw the kitchen sink at him. Lesnar had a wrestling background. (CM Punk) going to fight a guy who is 1-0, 1-1, 2-1 — something like that.”

White did not have a firm 2015 date for CM Punk’s debut, saying it could take some time, perhaps six to seven months. The UFC head noted that Brooks has been training jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts for an extended period of time.

“He’s been coming to fights for a long time and after his WWE contract was up, he called me and said he wanted to give it a shot. I said, ‘All right. We’ll give you a shot.’ “

At 36, CM Punk acknowledges that time is not on his side.

“My professional wrestling days are over, it’s awesome to be here,” he said. “This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time.

“I felt like it was now or never. I have a limited window most fighters don’t have. I’m either here to win or get my ass kicked.”

In addition to Lesnar, who went 5-3 over his MMA career, other WWE stars have tried their hands in mixed martial arts, including Dave Bautista (1-0) and Bobby Lashley (12-2).

UFC women’s champion Ronda Rousey took to Twitter to show her excitement with the latest addition to the promotion.

WHA?!?!?! @CMPunk!!?!!!!?!! #cantwait

— Ronda Rousey (@RondaRousey) December 7, 2014

Several UFC fighters were nowhere near as thrilled, however, with some volunteering to be the former wrestler’s first opponent.

A skeptical Nate Diaz, ESPN’s 10th-ranked lightweight fighter, had one simple question, though.

@ufc @CMPunk Why?

CMPunkChants

The upcoming game of WWE is definitely ultra-realistic and is now set to feature a new addition now which includes the people in the crowd chanting for the long-absent CM Punk.

WWE 2K15 which is set to release in October for the next-gen consoles has incredible gaphics and sound. The fans in the game are also in high definition the crying of fans who ruin promos with worn out chants.

Most fans of WWE state that this will be the most immersive WWE game in history which makes players feel like they are actually being annoyed by fools at a live WWE event.

The game will also include other features to enhance the realism of the game such as:

Obstructed views due to fans holding misspelled signs in front of the camera

Commercial breaks in the middle of matches

Other annoying chants, such as “Goldberg” (during Ryback matches) and “What?!”

Non-stop jabber about the WWE App and WWE Network (“It’s only $9.99″) by commentator Michael Cole

Every playing session begins with a 15-minute in-ring promo by Triple-H

10Reasons

CM Punk’s illustrious WWE career is over. The company website booted him off of their ‘superstars’ roster this week, indicating that his contract has indeed expired. This follows Punk’s six month ‘sabbatical’ after his abrupt walkout this past January. What has Punk had to say about his unceremonious exit? He greeted the news of his roster removal with the following tweet to thank fans for their support “Nope, thank YOU.Thanks for all the help and support through the years. Health and happiness above all. Don’t ever take any s**t from anybody.”

What was interesting about that tweet was Punk alluding to not taking “s**t” from anybody. This was clearly a knock at his former employer, it was Punk confirming that he quit over differences with WWE management. He also emphasises that he has picked “Health and happiness above all”. Again, this can be read as Punk’s way of confirming that he was burned out in WWE.

The reason that he isn’t going to say any more about his animosity toward WWE is because his wife AJ Lee is still working there. He doesn’t want to compromise her still blossoming career. So what for Punk now? He has some commercial appearances booked, such as the red carpet hosting duties at an upcoming awards show. But what then?

One option that will always be on the table is a WWE return. The company is a business, they can make money off Punk. As soon as he feels refreshed, the WWE door is going to be wide open. They pretty much communicated that by screening the ‘Best In The World’ documentary on the day his contract expired. It was a sign that they’re willing to do business with the Punk brand, they’re open to making money with his likeness. Despite hurt feelings, an eventual return could eventually suit both sides.

We really wouldn’t be all that surprised if Punk is back within the next few years. Read on to find out what will motivate his inevitable comeback!

AJ Lee is WWE’s number one active diva. She’s a big part of their plans and she’s happy in her role. The other thing about AJ is that she’s a huge fan of pro wrestling, leaving her dream job is never going to cross her mind. Aged just twenty-seven, she could easily be with the company for at least the next half decade.

For CM Punk, that could be a compelling reason to return in a year or two. Imagine how he’s going to feel next year when AJ enthusiastically comes home buzzing about what happened at work in the run up to WrestleMania 31. Punk will realise that he could be getting those same ego-satisfying opportunities.

WWE may even use AJ as a mediator between themselves and Punk. She’s arguably their greatest in-road into getting Punk back to work. The Divas Champion likewise is going to want Punk back at work. It is a chance for her to spend more time with the man she loves. In a year’s time she might encourage him a bit to see if he’s interested on rejoining her on the road. Punk’s emotional tie to AJ will remind him of WWE every day, eventually he might just decide to go back. Love’s young dream was made for being together, not apart.

CM Punk’s WWE contract expires July 17. The question from wrestling fans regarding “The Best in the World” – will he return, or is he done?

The short answer: no one knows.

Punk, who left WWE in January after the Royal Rumble, is scheduled to host a music awards show on AXS TV on July 21, fueling speculation that he is not returning to WWE. The rationale: Punk (real name: Phil Brooks) is scheduled to appear using the CM Punk name, which some feel that WWE wouldn’t allow him to do (either the show, or using the name) if he were still under contract.

Interesting thinking there, but not much more than re-reading the same tea leaves that we’ve all been trying to make sense of for the past six months.

Watch to see what WWE has to say on or around July 17. Of course, even then, if WWE were to announce that it had parted ways with Punk, there would still be speculation that it was all part of the work.

So …

Retired pro wrestler CM Punk has been announced as the co-host of the Gibson Brands’ AP Music Awards on July 21, 2014 at the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, Ohio.

Punk continues to transition into a career as a pop culture generalist with this gig interviewing musical celebrities as they enter the awards. He’ll be partnered with a previous contestant on the NBC singing competition/reality show The Voice and frontwoman for the band Automatic Loveletter, Juliet Simms.

Alternative Press (the ‘AP’ of AP Music Awards) had this to say about the latest addition to their debut event:

Professional wrestling champion CM Punk has been officially added as a red carpet host at the APMAs! As a life-long music fan, CM Punk will be making one of his first public appearances since he stepped away from his many years in the squared circle. CM Punk will be joining co-host Juliet Simms to interview celebrities for the AXS TV red carpet pre-show extravaganza!

The man himself is quoted as saying:

Well, I’m actually stoked to get out of the house and get gussied up for the first-ever Gibson Brands AP Music Awards, fueled by Monster Energy Drink. Red carpets and me don’t mix, so I figure it’ll be a perfectly hilarious night with friends and a live microphone-my favorite! Be there and be square!

The show airs on AXS TV (formerly HDNet and predominantly available on Dish Network), Monday, July 21st at 8PM Eastern. So, yes, opposite WWE Raw, which will be in Miami, Florida that night. And, shortly after his contract is rumored to expire.

Also interesting that he’s moving away being promoted as “Phil Brooks AKA CM Punk“. As time passes since his late January exit from WWE and wrestling, it’s smart to leverage the brand as he establishes his presence as a celebrity commentator in his other fields of interest.

PunkAndAJ

Click on the photo above for the source of the following story.

WWE Superstar CM Punk and Diva AJ Lee were reportedly married over the weekend in a small, private ceremony. The wrestling duo have taken time away from the ring in order to exchange their own wedding rings, and it’s unclear if and when they will return.

Lee previously told fans that she would not be returning to the WWE until after her wedding to Punk, which means that she could return at any time. However, it’s likely that she will want to remain with her new husband for some alone time and simply enjoy being married. Lee is the retiring Diva’s champion, holding the title for quite some time before losing it to a newcomer and leaving the show.

Punk, on the other hand, was reportedly upset with his contract with the organization and walked away at the height of his career. Fans were very upset, and still are, that Punk is gone and may not return. He has until September to decide whether he wants to return and can negotiate a better contract, or whether he will move on and join a different wrestling organization.

Fans continually chant “CM Punk” at live events, clearly wanting the Superstar to return sooner rather than later, but rumors have it that Punk is perfectly content being paid for not working. WWE contracts allow for payment while a wrestler is out of the ring and does not appear anywhere else. Punk was tired of losing and unhappy with the organization as a whole, so he simply walked out.

It is entirely likely that Lee will return and seek to regain her title or perhaps pair up with another WWE Diva as a tag-team. She recently provided her character’s voice on the movie “Scooby Doo! WrestleMania Mystery” which was released just ahead of WrestleMania, the WWE’s biggest annual event.

The couple has remained relatively quiet about the relationship and seemingly intend to, not publicizing anything about their nuptials and asking for privacy.
